What do you call someone who tortures you every day?

We regularly receive news about their work from our partner International Justice Mission Netherlands. This time a story about a special strong woman in India. Her name is Thaiyamma.

What do you call someone who tortures you every day and smashes all your dreams to pieces?

Thaiyamma called her boss simply 'the Beast'.

She couldn't have described him better. For years she worked as a slave at his logging company to pay off a loan of about 15 euros.
Even when Thaiyamma became pregnant, she had to continue working. “We lived like zombies.” Until the day that IJM, in collaboration with local authorities, freed her.
